There are 4 computer labs in total. Codes and Locations: H1-601 (Erping Mountain Campus), I1-204 (Bajia Campus), I1-304 (Bajia Campus), and I1-303 (Bajia Campus).
Eating and drinking (including water) are strictly prohibited in the computer labs. Teachers and students using the labs must comply with this rule.
Instructors must not arbitrarily disassemble any equipment in the classroom (including network cables). Serious violations will result in the suspension of future lab reservations for the department.
According to the university's Lost and Found Policy, please contact the Student Assistance Section of the Office of Student Affairs regarding lost or found items.
Regarding student feedback on the performance of high-end imaging software during courses: Due to limited funding, OIT primarily provides basic software. If departments require professional high-end video or image processing software, the necessary hardware should be planned and purchased by the course-offering unit. If professional course software has specific hardware requirements, it is recommended to conduct classes in the department's specialized classrooms. If using OIT labs, instructors must evaluate whether the lab computers support their teaching needs. If necessary, instructors may visit OIT before scheduling classes to test the software.
Since the labs use a system restore card, software installation cannot be accommodated during the semester. If you are unsure whether the required software is available, instructors should visit or send a teaching assistant to OIT before the class to verify.
Teaching software licenses must be provided by the teaching unit.
Computer Lab Opening Hours
Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, during office hours. (Closed on weekends)
Outside of scheduled class times, labs are only available for faculty and staff applications. They are not open for student self-study. (For self-study, please visit the Library.)
How to Apply for Lab Use (Semester Courses)
OIT will issue a survey form in coordination with the university's course scheduling timeline. All units are requested to fill it out accordingly.
Lab reservations for semester courses are based on half-day units. The morning session starts from the 1st period at 8:10, and the afternoon session starts at 13:10.
Units may propose preferred time slots, and OIT will reply and adjust based on availability.
If demand exceeds capacity, scheduling will be prioritized according to the "National United University OIT Venue and Equipment Borrowing Regulations."
Due to limited resources, semester-long reservations are generally not accepted for non-IT courses. If usage is required, please apply for single-use borrowing (semester-long booking is not accepted).
If a semester course is moved to an OIT computer lab after the initial scheduling period, it requires approval from the OIT director. From the date of approval until the second batch of access card updates is completed, the instructor must manually open the door before each class. OIT will not process student access control separately during this period.
Please confirm first if there are any scheduled semester courses.
According to the "NUU OIT Computer Lab Equipment Borrowing Guidelines," internal units must check availability online and submit an application via the Service Desk System or a Service Request Form at least two weeks in advance. External individuals or organizations must submit an application and pay relevant fees at least three days before the usage date. Proof of payment must be submitted to OIT for approval. Failure to pay on time will result in cancellation.
The rental fee is NT$2,000 per hour with a deposit of NT$10,000. Fees are waived for courses taught to NUU faculty and students. For details, please refer to the "NUU OIT Venue and Equipment Borrowing Regulations" (For venue borrowing, simply fill out a Service Request Form).
Labs are only available for faculty teaching and departmental/administrative training. Applications from students or student clubs are not accepted.
Borrowing units must fill out an OIT Service Request Form to register. (Instructors borrowing for themselves should log in to the Service Desk System with their personal account. If submitting a paper form, please stamp it with your Job Title Seal (職章). If you do not have a seal, please ask the department assistant to handle it.)
OIT will notify the applicant of the result via paper or email after review.
Due to limited manpower and management issues, evening borrowing is adjusted based on the situation.
The access control system uses proximity cards. Students should swipe their Student ID, and faculty/staff should swipe their Staff ID.
Doors open 10 minutes before class.
Student ID card data will be set before the semester starts based on the second course selection data. A second batch update will be performed after the final add/drop period (actual dates depend on university operations).
If a Student ID card still does not work after the second batch update, please bring the card to the Teaching Promotion Section on the 5th floor.
Faculty/Staff ID cards must be registered before use. Please bring your Staff ID to the Teaching Promotion Section (OIT, 5th Floor, Bajia Campus) for registration.
