To support software openness, technological innovation, and to maintain a secure academic environment while protecting intellectual property rights, please observe the following principles when using the university’s network resources:

• 本校鼓勵師生多加使用自由軟體，如 LibreOffice、GIMP、VLC 播放器等。自由軟體具備合法、免費、開放原始碼等優點，不僅能滿足日常教學與辦公需求，亦有助於提升資訊素養、推動數位平等及培養開放源碼觀念。請在選擇商業軟體之外，優先考慮自由軟體，以支持開源社群與資料永續。
  Our university encourages teachers and students to make extensive use of free software such as LibreOffice, GIMP, and VLC Player. Free software offers advantages including legality, zero cost, and open-source transparency. It not only meets daily teaching and administrative needs but also helps improve digital literacy, promotes digital inclusion, and fosters open‑source awareness. When considering commercial software, please prioritize free software as an alternative to support the open‑source community and data sustainability.
• 請尊重智慧財產權，勿下載或散布未經授權的軟體或內容，確保所使用的軟體與資源皆符合相關法規。另提醒勿使用中國製軟體，避免資安風險，並符合政府相關政策規定。
  Please respect intellectual property rights. Do not download or distribute unauthorized software or content. Ensure that all software and resources you use comply with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, please refrain from using software originating from China to avoid cybersecurity risks and to comply with relevant government policies.
• 切勿安裝非法或破解軟體，避免病毒、綁架程式或後門危害您的設備與個資安全。請務必使用合法購買或授權之軟體。
  Do not install illegal or cracked software, as such programs may contain viruses, ransomware, or backdoors that could compromise your devices and personal data. Always use legally purchased or properly licensed software.
